MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE:

Thirteen years of experience as Kimberly-Clark’s (K-C) Vice President for Environment and Energy responsible for policy development, operating facility compliance, energy purchasing and efficiency improvement for 120 manufacturing facilities in 40 countries. Developed K-C’s first Corporate-wide environmental objectives program. Five years of additional experience as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs responsible for environmental, energy, occupational safety, product safety, product regulatory compliance, human testing,consumer complaint and government affairs functions within K-C. Managed 180 people with an annual budget of $28 million. Oversaw the development of K-C’s initial Corporate and Business Unit Sustainability Plans. K-C recognized as a Category Leader in the Global Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the past five years.

LEGAL EXPERIENCE:

Seven years of experience as Regulatory Counsel  in K-C’s Washington Office. Six additional years of experience as Assistant General Counsel and Staff Vice President responsible for commercial matters in K-C’s Roswell Legal Department. Extensive experience related to US and international environmental legal matters, energy contracting and regulatory proceedings, occupational safety and health issues, product safety and consumer protection matters, mergers and acquisitions, large commercial transactions and state and Federal Government Relations work.

RECOGNITIONS:

Chairman of Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety Management Roundtable for 15 years. Member of the Board and Treasurer of the National Environmental Education Foundation for five years. K-C’s Liaison Delegate to the World Business Council for Sustainable Development for five years. Member of the Steering Committee of The Forests Dialogue for five years. President and Board Member of the European Disposables and Nonwovens Association for five years. Instructor in environmental and Sustainability courses at various universities including Yale, Virginia and Georgia Tech.
